Radiant Church

Membership Agreement

Find our Statement of Faith here.

Having received the gospel of Jesus Christ, repented of my sins, and put my faith in him as Savior and Lord, and having been baptized as a public declaration of my faith, I joyfully enter into agreement with God and with the members of Radiant Church.

By God’s grace and through the power of the Holy Spirit, I commit to the following:

1. My Commitment to Jesus Christ

I will pursue a growing relationship with Jesus Christ through the Scriptures, prayer, obedience, worship, and repentance.

I will strive to walk in the Spirit, put sin to death, and grow in Christlikeness.

I will rest in Christ's finished work as my righteousness and hope.

2. My Commitment to Radiant Church

I recognize that the church is a family, a body, and a spiritual home. Therefore:

Gathering

  • I will regularly gather with my church family for worship, teaching, prayer, and communion (Heb. 10:24–25).

Unity & Love

  • I will pursue unity, humility, and forgiveness, refusing gossip, slander, or divisive behavior (Eph. 4:1–3, 29).

  • I will love others sacrificially as Christ has loved me (John 13:34–35).

Service

  • I will discover and use my gifts to build up the body (1 Pet. 4:10–11).

  • I will joyfully serve in Radiant Church's life and mission.

Generosity

  • I will practice joyful, regular financial giving as God has prospered me. I will be open to sacrificial giving as needs arise (2 Cor. 9:6–8).

3. My Commitment to Discipleship & Growth

By the grace of God, I will pursue holiness in all areas of life (1 Thess. 4:3).

I will welcome encouragement, correction, and accountability from fellow believers (Prov. 27:5–6).

4. My Commitment to Mission

I will live as an ambassador of Christ in my home, workplace, neighborhood, and city (2 Cor. 5:20).

I will seek opportunities to share the gospel and invite others into the life of the church.

I will support Radiant Church’s mission to make disciples who shine the light of Christ in Camas, Washougal, and beyond (Mt. 28:18–20).

5. My Commitment to Church Leadership

The leaders of Radiant Church have the authority to build up, not tear down (2 Cor. 13:10). Church leaders have counsel authority, not command authority. They are to “shepherd…not domineering over those in their charge” (1 Pet. 5:3), “as those who will have to give an account” to God on Judgment Day (Heb. 13:17). Therefore:

  • I will respect, pray for, support, and respond to the pastors and elders as they shepherd the church according to Scripture (1 Pet. 5:1–4, Heb. 13:17).

  • I will submit to one another within the body, honoring the authority structures God has established for our flourishing.

6. When Sin or Conflict Arises

I will pursue reconciliation quickly, following Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 18:15–17.

I will remain open to loving, gentle, restorative church accountability when necessary for my spiritual good and the health of the body (Gal. 6:1).

7. If God Moves Me to Another Church

If the Lord leads, I will leave Radiant Church in an honorable, prayerful, and communicative way with leadership.

I will commit to uniting with another gospel-centered church where I can continue to grow and serve.

Conclusion

By God’s grace, knowing I will not be perfect but desiring to be Christlike, I enter this agreement not as a legal requirement but as a joyful expression of belonging to the family of God and participating in Christ’s mission through Radiant Church.
