An Outward Declaration of an Inward Faith
An Outward Declaration of New Life in Christ
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life - Romans 6:4
Baptism is one of the first steps of obedience for every follower of Jesus. It is a public declaration of the transforming work Christ has done in our lives—a beautiful picture of His death, burial, and resurrection, and the new life we now have in Him.
Buried with Christ. Raised to New Life.
When we place our faith in Jesus, we are made new.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
2 Corinthians 5:17
Baptism is the outward sign of that inward reality. As we are lowered into the water, we identify with Christ’s death and burial. As we are raised again, we celebrate the new life He has given us through His resurrection.
It is not the water that saves us, but the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism is the joyful declaration of the salvation we have already received.
Following Jesus was never meant to be done alone.
As a church, we gather to rejoice in God’s saving work, encourage one another, and welcome new believers as they publicly identify with Christ and His Church.
Whether you’ve recently come to faith or have followed Jesus for years but have never been baptized as a believer, we’d be honored to celebrate this step with you.
